Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The Bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger. We are a community of believers.

We strive to be a church without walls. Jesus calls for us to go outside the walls to reach the lost and the broken. It is there that the lost will be found. Most churches find it is comfortable to stay within the walls, but we make it an effort to be like the church from the book of Acts, to see our city changed.

We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.

After graduating from college in 2020, Pastor Noah and his wife Cheyanne, were called from their home in Sout Carolina to move to Beckley to plant a new church.
When they arrived in Beckley, Pastor Noah began learning about the area, meeting new people and inviting them to a weekly Bible Study.
The Bible Study began to grow and he developed a Core Team to begin to prepare for the launch of this new church plant, Redemption Church.
On August 22, 2021, Redemption Church launched, holding its first Sunday morning worship.
On Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, Redemption Church officially covenanted together with all of its founding members.

Pastor Noah Toney was saved as a teenager in high school. During high school, he felt a call to the ministry. He attended North Greenville University (NGU) where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology. Noah married his wife Cheyanne who also attended NGU. During their college years, they both served their church in various ministries and did some oversees missionary work. Upon graduation, Pastor Noah and Cheyanne believed that God was leading them to Beckley, WV to plant a church under the North American Mission Board. Pastor Noah is the teaching Pastor of Redemption Church and he has a passion and desire to see the Gospel reach many people in southern WV as well as around the world.

Noah is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting and fishing. Cheyanne also serves the community as a teacher at Stratton Elementary School. They both love to travel and spend time together.
